Oh dear, it’s Monday night and I haven’t posted some news. That’s because I’ve been adventuring and having X-rays on my back. I have had news that our boys did well at Newtons on the weekend and I’ll have more news on that soon. But for now, here’s some iPhone pics from my journeys.
Blue and I are shooting an interview and so he organised a late night private session at Rampfest. Big thanks to that crew for making it a reality. It was at this session that I re-connected with Will Kerr from up Canberra way. Good times were had.
I’m part of a show at M.A.R.S. Gallery in Port Melbourne. I had heard about a possibility of being a part of the show, but it didnt look like my work was going to be ready in time. Unfortunately I missed out on having my work ready for the opening, but the curator liked my work and still wanted me to be a part of it. It’s an amazing opportunity, so I’m pretty excited. It is open for another 2 weeks I think and its in the upstairs gallery.
In bmx related news, Liam and I ran/did a demo at a comp out in Kilmore yesterday. It was a lot of fun and hopefully everyone that was present enjoyed it too.
I am more than over the moon about this lil piece of news. Our boy Trent Bucknell is back on the bike after a scary tumble in the Shed bowl a few months back. Be sure to look for his face around in the publications soon. Word.
I don’t like to be a ‘re-poster’ of other site’s news & I’m not a big fan of street riding but I’m a huge fan of this. Cooper Brownlee run FocalPoint Magazine and shreds the shit out of a bike! Hells Yeah. Turn the sound up and enjoy.

There is also a quick Q&A with Cooper about filming for this web video which you can find here…
Artists Mark Grieve and Ilana Spector, who collected the bicycles from the debris piles of nonprofit bicycle organizations, created this bicycle arch. The archway features 300 bikes and was on display in California.
I just thought I’d post a bit of a photo gallery here of the photos from our successful ‘Let’s Ride’ jam on April 7th, 2012. We managed to raise $850 for Harvey and Paddy which will help them reach their dreams. Have a browse through and make sure you get out to the next jam.
Last night we (VCA 3rd year) had our opening at the student gallery. It went pretty well and although the install was rather stressful we got it together in the end and opted for a salon style hang for the main wall. The second room had two video projections and a large silver geliten print. My video was one of them. Here is a photo from the show. I am applying for a show at George Paton Gallery with my friend Josh, who skates as well as being an artist. We had a tute with the curator so hopefully that will put is in good stead for our application! Thanks to everyone who turned up and it was good to see a few bmx guys getting a bit cultured and enjoying the free wine and beerz.
As many of you will know, I am a family man. My family is everything to me, almost as much as bikes are. Here is a photo that good friend Jack Kelly shot of me and my wee child, Evelyn, a few months back.
