I purchased a towel last night. Nothing flash, it wasn’t expensive, in fact, I drove around to Kmart from Coles because the $10 towel at Coles was too expensive. I purchased a $5 towel. It’s purple, fluffy and is supposed to absorb all the water from my body after a shower. But my story is not about the towel…. Continue reading →
Yo! Since I recently picked up an old video camera, it’s a great thing I stumbled upon this here how-to video. This gives me all the right tools I need to capture and edit the best dang video the world has ever seen. Who needs a hand with a new edit?
We LOVE riding bikes! We love hearing about your stories of you riding bikes and we love making new friends through riding bikes, so we’re inviting you along for a family/casual bike ride this Saturday, April 19th. Continue reading →
“Need more inspiration to get our new production? Troy just dropped a new trailer for That’s What’s Up, which is the second collaboration between Troy Charlesworth and us here at 2020. Showcasing just how solid the Australian scene is here right now, especially beyond the usual stereotype of event riders that world know so well. Featuring over 60 Australian riders plus full sections from Jerry Vandervalk, Nick Kajewski and Mike Vockenson it brings some heavy hitting riding that will more than open a few eyes to the depth of talent residing on these shores.”
So, April 8th is a Tuesday this year. It’s a day I’m really stoked and honoured to be a part of. Why? Because good mate Chris is marrying his darling Emily. They have asked me to capture their day in photographs, so I will not open the shop on this day. The previous day is a Monday and is the 7th of April. This is my 32nd birthday. Being a Monday and having the Sunday off and not opening Tuesday I figured I’d take my family out camping.
I’m really keen for some research and development time. Or, just some time to bugger off and do cool stuff.
I’m preaching to the choir here no doubt, but have you ever noticed how people who ride bikes have a certain spring in their step? They have thirst for life that is infectious. A lot of cyclists have an energy and aura about them that and we’re left wondering what makes them move. Continue reading →
It’s potentially going to rain today which means we’ll be stuck in doors. If you can’t make it to one of the many indoor parks Melbourne has to offer, maybe you’ll have to watch some BMX videos. Well, I was looking at the good stuff from Cinema Wheel Company and saw they have a good number of great videos for your pleasure.
We LOVE cycling here at Riding Way and see it as much more than simply just owning a bike. It has been an obsession for as long as I remember so when I wrote my wife’s car off a few years ago, it was an easy decision to hand her the keys to mine and convert to pedal power for most of my journeys.
It get’s me stoked, no, more than stoked to be able to say I’ve been a part, if only a small part, of 2020 BMX Magazine and the issue that’s about to land here in our cozy little Bentleigh East bike shop is the fiftieth. Yes, 50 issues photographed, typed, printed and distributed to the freestylers, street riders and beginners alike all around this great country and beyond.
This has taken me a bit longer than expected, my tip for you, don’t pour a big can of Red Bull on your nice Apple Mac Book Pro. Anyway, now I’ve got my new computer, let’s give you a short run down of the BMX Racing down at the South Eastern BMX Club here in Oakleigh. Continue reading →
