Had my knee arthroscopy on tuesday and I’m really surprised at how quickly it is getting better. So much of the swelling has gone down already. In another week or so I will be able to start riding my road bike and trying to get it strong again. It will still be another 5 weeks until I can ride properly though.

Riding w/ LK and Zac Dangerfield
Went for a ride today with LK and Zac, who is from Queensland and staying with him. Zac is also friends with RW friend Nick Harris who is over in the US at the moment being a big time pro rydah. We have been chatting a bit and its dope to hear the rad times he is having staying in the Wethepeople house in Portland. Here is a slightly vintage edit of Zac, but the only one i could find. He is a wizard on the front wheel.
More Waiting…
My infected shin wound is healing slowly, which is good. Booked in my knee arthroscopy for the 26th of July. Really looking forward to being back to 100% for the first time in 2+ years. Hopefully my leg gets better soon and I might even nibble around for a bit before I get operated on.

MY LYF
So I haven’t really been able to ride at all lately, which has been a bit of a bumber. Split my shin open the other week riding city park and it ended up getting infected. Usually wouldn’t be a big deal, however I’m going in for my knee arthroscopy on tuesday, which I may now miss due to the infection. Pretty bumbed out with that, as it means I will most likely have to wait a month now until uni holidays until I can have it without it interfering with mah education. It will be so good to have my knee back to 100% for the first time since December 2009. Look out for some edits etc. when I’m back on it, so keen to get stuff done that I have had to chill on for so long because of a shotty knee. In excitement for my knee being 110% I have embedded my vintage camberwell edit from 09, pre knee problems. Give it another watch!
Peace and love.

Good timez m8
I’m part of a show at M.A.R.S. Gallery in Port Melbourne. I had heard about a possibility of being a part of the show, but it didnt look like my work was going to be ready in time. Unfortunately I missed out on having my work ready for the opening, but the curator liked my work and still wanted me to be a part of it. It’s an amazing opportunity, so I’m pretty excited. It is open for another 2 weeks I think and its in the upstairs gallery.
In bmx related news, Liam and I ran/did a demo at a comp out in Kilmore yesterday. It was a lot of fun and hopefully everyone that was present enjoyed it too.

Gallery Opening
Last night we (VCA 3rd year) had our opening at the student gallery. It went pretty well and although the install was rather stressful we got it together in the end and opted for a salon style hang for the main wall. The second room had two video projections and a large silver geliten print. My video was one of them. Here is a photo from the show. I am applying for a show at George Paton Gallery with my friend Josh, who skates as well as being an artist. We had a tute with the curator so hopefully that will put is in good stead for our application! Thanks to everyone who turned up and it was good to see a few bmx guys getting a bit cultured and enjoying the free wine and beerz.
Easter timez
I am on uni holidays, which is nice in a way, but also quite average. I spent a bit of time down on the Mornington Peninsula chilling out with my family which was nice. I also spent way to much time thinking, thinking and even more thinking about this artwork I am currently working on. All this thinking is eating me alive, haha. My friends and I are having a show at the VCA student gallery one week from today (tues 16th) it starts at 6 I’m pretty sure and if you have any interest in art or hot art babes then you should come, or if you like free alcohol or particularly if you have lots of money and want to buy my artwork.
Here is a photo of me txting, how cute. Shot by baby LK
art school
So for those of you who don’t know, I’m in my 3rd and final year at the VCA studying Fine Art Photography. I have a tute in a couple of weeks from one of the curators/gallery staff at George Paton Gallery, so hopefully that goes well and my friend Josh Bejan and I will have a show there.
I’ve also got a collaborative piece in a show at the moment in langford 120 in North Melbourne, its super close to that really low flat bar spot if anyone knows that. I suggest you go and have a look at my work and ride the spot! haha.
On the 17th of April my friends and I are having an exhibition at the VCA student Gallery, where the concept/theme for the show the obstruction that bigger is better. No work is allowed to be smaller than 2m on its shortest length. Those openings are always fun and there are a ton of art babes.
BIKEFEST 2012
On the weekend, Jake Deering, Adam Hough and myself were in a bmx demo/performance for Bikefest at riverside park. It was pretty fun and was put together by two coriographers. The end product was more of a performance than a bmx demo, but it was really cool to be a part of it. The whole thing was done with steeze and consideration and when things were a bit cheezy, it was totally intentional, which was cool. All in all it was a successful collaboration. There was also a video that gave an intro to our live performance that was shown on a huge screen, the video will be online at some stage and I will link it here. There were about 200+ spectators, so that made it even doper. Hope you guys had a nice weekend too! Peace, Blue
Upd8 #1
Hey everyone,
Just got back from a pretty fun trip to warrnambool with the crew, Doug Underhill, Kai Moody, Liam and myself stopped off at Geelong on the way back and ended up clocking a few clips that I was really happy with for Doug’s upcoming dvd ‘Ambition’. I’m having a bit of trouble with my knee at the moment, but am still able to get out and ride a bit. I’ve also been working on an interview with Gorak for 2020 that will be out not this issue, but the next.
Adam Hough, Jake Deering and I are doing a demo at City Park this saturday evening for ‘Bike Fest’, which should be fun, so come down and check that out if you are around the area.
Hit the Streetz boys.
